Warning: Spoilers for S7E17!
-----------------------------------
Dean grew increasingly anxious as he traversed the long hallway leading to the healer's apartment. He didn't know much about the man, just that he'd shown up on the supernatural scene a few months earlier and could heal just about anything. Dean desperately wanted to save his brother from insanity, which was why he was here: he didn't trust magic healers. Generally speaking, they tended to be demons or witches or people who'd somehow managed to enslave reapers. If they weren't, they were crazy and/or ineffective, so Dean's anxiety was completely justified. He knocked on the door that matched the address on the note in his pocket, fully aware of the fact that he had about a fifty-fifty chance of being attacked by some beast just inside.
The man that opened the door was no beast. Nor was he a demon or a witch. Dean froze in shock as he took in the familiar face of the angel he once thought to be dead. The look of surprise on Castiel's face must have matched his own as they stared at each other in the doorway. Dean snapped out of it first, enveloping Castiel in the kind of bear hug he usually reserved for Sammy right after one of them came back from the dead. He savored the nearly-forgotten scents of his divine friend, of summer air, waterfalls, and green trees. Finally, he pulled back and gazed at Castiel. "I thought you were dead."
Cas gazed at Dean in wonder for a long moment before slowly asking, "Do I know you?"
Dean blinked. "What? Cas, it's me! Dean Winchester? The chosen one? You went missing months ago; I thought you died! I still have your coat in my car." Then, he noticed Castiel's outfit. Even without his trenchcoat, Dean would have expected him to be wearing his suit and tie, but no: Castiel was dressed like Dean. Charcoal tee-shirt, classic Levi's jeans, a long-sleeved unbuttoned work shirt and black leather work boots. It was curious that Cas would dress like him if he didn't remember him.
Cas cocked his head, an unconscious characteristic he couldn't forget. "I'm afraid I don't remember anything before a few months ago, but I've seen you in my dreams for as long as I can remember. I always wondered who you were, if you were real."
"Well, they're probably memories, Cas! We've known each other for years!"
"Were we lovers?"
"What?!"
"In my dreams, we're lovers." Apparently, he couldn't forget his bluntness, either.
"Uh... no. We're not lovers. I'm not gay."
Another head cock. "Are you sure?"
"Wh- yes, I'm sure!" He smiled and patted Castiel on the shoulder. "It's good to see you're still socially awkward, Cas. Now, about Sam...."

Warning: Contains mentions of an abusive relationship
The first time that Dean had met Castiel, the quiet and intelligent writer whom enjoyed writing in the library, had been when Castiel could not find a book that he needed in order to research something and Dean had to help him find it. Dean was crap at organizing the books, and if it wasn't for the fact that his brother owned the library Dean would not b working there. At least that was before he had met Castiel. He noticed instantly the stunning blue eyes hidden behind the glasses he wore while he was writing, thin black frames that Dean supposed were for reading.

"So, are you not able to sleep or do you just not want to?"
"I think I can sleep if I want. But it's not necessary for me and it is just wasting my time, so I do not want to sleep."
"I think you should have some rest." Dean said lying across the bed, closing his eyes.
"Why do you want me to sleep?" Castiel asked curiously.
"If you would sleep I could sleep as well. For as long as I want..." Dean explained.
"So you want to sleep with me?" Castiel asked frowning and confused.
Dean stiffened thinking of spending some time in bed with Castiel. Definitely not sleeping. His handsome face turned red at once.
Hell yes!

Do you love coffee?
"Why are you drinking that black stuff? It looks... weird," Castiel asked, wondering.
"Because without this I would be sleeping now." Dean answered simply. "And it's not weird. It's delicious. Wanna taste?" He held out the cup to Cas.
"No thanks. It still looks weird..." Cas said with a grimace on his face.
The angel was watching Dean the whole night, while the hunter was drinking this black liquid. They were alone in the motel, waiting for Sam to come back from Bobby's. Dean didn't wanted to sleep so they were sitting next to the table facing each other and drinking coffee all night long.
"How does it taste?"

A/N: Spoilers for S7E17 The Born-Again Identity.
Summary: Dean goes looking for someone to heal Sam's mind, and he finds Castiel, who's been living as a healer since he vanished, and has no recollection of life before he woke up afterward. This is a one-shot of their meeting. Slashy, pre-slash, or one-sided slash, but not true slash. It's mostly canon.
It would be awesome if they went there. However, I'm sure they won't. Please, R&R!
